In the summer of 2016, Bristol City Community Trust joined forces with City supporters to conquer UK’s ultimate challenge.
Twenty Two individuals tackled the National Three Peaks – Ben Nevis, Scaffell Pike and Snowdon – which saw participants climb a testing 25 miles.
Each person had to brave torrential weather conditions and their hearty efforts raised in excess of £9,000 for the Community Trust, much to the delight of event organiser Billy Bond who hailed the trip ‘a great success’.
“It was a fantastic event and everyone associated with Bristol City Community Trust is extremely grateful to the participants for their tireless efforts,” he said.
“To raise valuable funds for the Trust while bringing together various fans from the Bristol City community is a superb feeling and it will hopefully be an experience that lives long in the memory for all involved.
“A special thanks must also go to Montpellier, Simpact and Linela who kindly sponsored the event – their support, generosity and donations were invaluable.
“We will now start to think about building upon the success of this event for next year, where we can hopefully attract a greater number of participants to help raise money for such a worthwhile cause.”
