Bristol to Barcelona Bike Ride

Bristol City Community Trust has given its support to eight brave cyclists taking part in a charity challenge.

The group from Clevedon have just begun cycling from City’s Ashton Gate Stadium to Barcelona’s magnificent Nou Camp.

The octet of brave pedalers are embarking on a ten-day ride over more than 1,000 miles to raise money for Parkinsons UK and Ward 37 of Bristol Children’s Hospital, associated to the Wallace and Gromit Grand Appeal.

Led by Paul Wilkinson, a massive BristolCity fan, the team is on course to raise a staggering £10,000.

Wilkinson will be joined by Simon Cridland, 34; James Cridland, 24, Ben Cridland, 24; Luke Mortimore, 23; Dan Stewart, 28; Ben Burns, 33; Paul Lovell, 34; along with two support drivers George Poole, 27 and Sam Hutchins, 29.
