Based at Ashton Gate Stadium, Bristol City Community Trust is offering a number of exciting new courses which will give players and coaches aged 16 and above the chance to combine academic studies with a practical football experience.
Foundation Degree
Our course is based at Ashton Gate Stadium and offers players and coaches above the age of 19 the chance to combine academic studies with a practical football coaching experience.
The course is a Foundation degree in Community Football Coaching and Development which is run in partnership with Glamorgan University.
Course Content involves:
• C&B Football Coaching Licenses
• Community Football Development
• Principles of Coaching
• Work Based Learning (at Bristol City Football Club)
• Community Sport in Practice
Students will have online lectures based at Bristol City football club, along with work based learning opportunities. UEFA qualifications are embedded within the course and students will also have access to all Glamorgan University facilities.

girls BTEC LEVEL 3 Futsal Education Programme
Bristol City Community Trust has an exciting new post-16 education programme, aimed at dedicated, innovative and inspirational young females who wish to further their education and career in football.
This provides students with the opportunity to study a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport (Performance and Excellence pathway) and play competitive Futsal for Bristol City FC. There will also be opportunities to gain work experience within the club.

Now entering its third successful year the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport goes from strength to strength with successful scholars already acquiring placements at high profile universities, scholarships in the US and local coaching and employment opportunities. As with the girls programme the course involves regular training, competitive playing and work experience opportunities.

NVQ LEVEL 2 Football Education Programme
This provides students with the opportunity to study an NVQ Level 2 and 3 Diploma in Coaching, Teaching and Instructing Football and play recreational football for Bristol City FC. There will also be opportunities to gain work experience within the club.
