Player Participation Centres

The work the Trust carries out varies from introductory sessions at grass roots level to performance coaching at our Academy. No matter what the coaching session the emphasis is on fun and getting players to learn and develop skills in a positive and relaxed environment.

We believe that players learn best when they enjoy, achieve and are free of the fear of failure.  Players best learn if they are able to make decisions for themselves and have no external negative pressure placed on them.  In this way players are more likely to express themselves. Coaches have a vital role to play in creating a positive learning environment so that players can enjoy, achieve and reach their fullest potential.

We are extremely keen to work with youth teams and other organisations working with young people who share this same ethos.

Player Participation Centres

Bristol City Community Trust development centres provide an environment for children already playing in clubs to enhance their skills and develop ball mastery as well as giving children who aren’t playing in a club and league structure a chance to fall in love with the game without the pressure of competitive weekly fixtures.

These sessions are fun and progressive. Our coaches will signpost talented young players into Bristol City FC academy if it is in the best interest of the individual.

We run sessions at the following locations:
Abbeywood School, Filton – Tuesday 5.00-7.00pm
Bristol Metropolitan Academy – Thursday 5.00-7.00pm
Keynsham Town FC, Keynsham – Wednesday 5.00-7.00pm
Gordano Sports Centre, Gordano – Thursday 4.30-6.30pm
